Environmental/Historic Services, NY Harbor Healthcare Manhattan Campus
Mabbett was awarded a Task Order (TO) for Environmental Contract Support in support of the Floodwall Flood Protection System Project at the New York Harbor Healthcare Manhattan Campus. This TO was awarded under Mabbett’s US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management (OCFM) firm-fixed price (FFP) ID/IQ.
As the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prime contractor and program manager, Mabbett was awarded a multi-year $7M Environmental and Historic Services ID/IQ contract from the VA OCFM Eastern Region in support of VA medical facilities and cemeteries in the VA Eastern Region which covers sixteen states in 2012.
Under this TO, Mabbett subject matter experts (SMEs) provide expert technical consulting on potential environmental issues for the on-going Floodwall Flood Protection System Project at the VA’s New York Harbor Healthcare Manhattan Campus. Specifically, Mabbett SMEs and project team assist with environmental compliance, environmental matters associated with air, water, hazardous waste and closure of an underground storage tank (UST), as well as archaeological, cultural and historic preservation issues as the project progresses.
“We understand that the Floodwall Flood Protection System Project is an important one after the major flooding endured at the Manhattan Campus during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. We will provide reliable environmental consulting services to assist in creating and contributing to a sound defense for future natural disasters,” commented Freddie Ferriera, MBA, CPG, Tri-State Regional Manager. “We continue to expand our services with the VA nationwide as we have done for more than eight years as an SDVOSB and continue to expand our services in the Tri-State area as well.”
