Connecticut Army Reserve National Guard, Construction Management Services
Mabbett/Nobis Environmental JV LLC (MANE) performed construction management services on a $450K environmental remediation project for the New England District Corps of Engineers (CENAE) in support of Compliance-Related Cleanup Activities at two Connecticut Army Reserve National Guard Facilities (CTARNG). The primary project objective was to plan and implement soil remedies at 10 areas of concern (AOC) and a groundwater remedy at one AOC, each designed to achieve compliance to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs), and executed in accordance with the corrective action plans (CAPs) for the two sites.
Pre-construction efforts included preparation of the project plans, construction cost-estimating and bonding, preparation of the submittal register, development of the construction schedule, and activities associated with subcontractor procurement. Site services included construction oversight, site supervision, health and safety oversight, confirmatory sampling, and preparation and submittal of remediation completion reports.
MANE is currently managing a $605K follow-on task order to complete CTDEEP required Post-Remediation Compliance Monitoring activities at the two sites that are designed to verify the effectiveness of remedial efforts at the facilities. MANE is also providing Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) services at one of the two properties in support of the CTDEEP Property Transfer Act provisions as part of the CTARNG annexing of the property.
