Producers of EEE must obtain guarantees from their supply chain – which, for some products, can represent over 3000 companies – that the parts and assemblies they provide are compliant with EU standards. Data collection and management therefore present enormous challenges and there is not yet a standard industry clearinghouse to house or manage the data.

Materials declarations

Many suppliers are being asked by their customers to complete material declarations survey to provide information about the materials being used in every part they supply. Because there is currently no standard material declaration format, and because customers often require information about different chemicals, or different thresholds for the same chemicals, suppliers are increasingly feeling “survey burnout.” Mabbett and Associates provides assistance interpreting and completing supplier material request surveys and will work with you to identify Bill of Materials (BoM) for each of your products.
