Skills Required
Successful candidates should possess:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in site assessment and remediation under the MCP, CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory programs
- MCP IRA, RAM, Phase I-V, and ROS experience preferred

Asbestos Regulated Building Materials Project Manager Consultant

Responsibilities
This individual will project manage and lead our asbestos, lead paint and regulated building materials
efforts. This is a hands-on position involving travel to and oversight of multiple projects in the New
England area and beyond. The successful candidate will respond to client requests, prepare scopes of work
and cost estimates/proposals, conduct surveys/inspections, and prepare reports with suitable corrective
action options. In addition, the successful candidate will prepare abatement estimates, develop
specifications/bid packages, identify suitable contractors, and oversee/manage asbestos and lead paint,

Reston, VA
Industrial Hygienist or EH&S Consultant
Serve as part of a team of environmental, health and safety professionals that conducts industrial hygiene monitoring, sampling and environmental compliance projects. Experience should include developing, writing, and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures. Possess comprehensive knowledge of Federal and state safety and environmental regulations. Be adaptable to varying work environments and conditions. Possess a strong pro-active safety and work ethic. Have the ability to communicate well with others, and adapt to new responsibilities. Work well in a team environment. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent will exercise considerable independent judgment in conducting environmental health or hazardous materials inspection and enforcement activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a science related field, or equivalency; one to three years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) work place compliance evaluations; industrial hygiene monitoring (air samples, noise dosimetry, etc); and a familiarity with OSHA health standards with an emphasis on noise, formaldehyde, ethylene oxide, lead, asbestos, permissible exposure limits for volatile chemicals, respiratory protection, confined space entry, ventilation, and hazardous waste response operations required.
Certification as an asbestos inspector in Virginia and/or Maryland is also preferred. This certification consists of a 32 hour course in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (AHERA) and at least 1,000 hours experience.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct and/or assist with occupational, exposure monitoring and other related duties.
- Schedule activities with the Project Manager.
- Performs all fieldwork required for compliance such as calibrating and operating equipment for taking air samples and monitoring personnel exposure, making mathematical calculations, obtaining media, submitting samples for analysis and documenting events.
- Performs surveys of work places and evaluates surveys to determine compliance with OSHA regulations. Drafts results and reports to be presented to Project Manager.
- Performs fieldwork-involving measurements as directed to determine adequacy and performance of local exhaust ventilation.
- Collects bulk samples for analysis, prepares associated paperwork and delivers samples for analysis, drafts and prepares standard report on analysis findings.

Safety & Health Specialist (SHS)
Job Summary:
A full-time position requiring safety and health and/or engineering experience to represent the interests of a Federal Agency in monitoring the safety and health conditions in accordance with various OSHA and NFPA Standards. The SHS will act as the liaison for, and at the direction of, the client to ensuring compliance with safety and health laws. The position is located on client site on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The position requires a mature candidate with solid interpersonal skills in order to work cooperatively with the government client and civil service personnel. Technical Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge and experience (minimum 5-10 years) of OSHA general industry and construction standards, including conducting site inspections.
- Experience in asbestos sampling including bulk, personal air, and wipe processes.
- Experience in construction, structural, communications, confined space and egress, and asbestos and lead-based paint hazards.
Administrative Qualifications:

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Job Summary:
Senior Environmental Health and Safety Consultant to provide the leadership to help ensure that quality, timely and cost effective/value added work is executed by technical staff and that client needs are met. Serve as a group supervisor-mentor to a team of professionals and support the firm as a senior project manager.
As a senior technical professional provide professional-technical services to include: environmental, health, and safety consulting services; data collection and analysis; all aspects of auditing, regulatory permitting, and reporting; safety and industrial hygiene consulting; industrial hygiene/indoor air quality surveys; preparation and/or review of site safety plans; toxicology consulting; risk assessment reviews and evaluations; on-site technical services assistance to various clients of the firm; environmental management systems consulting and program development; field sampling protocol preparation, technical report preparation and/or review; occupational safety and health program development-preparation; training program development and training program presentation; client, regulatory and legal counsel coordination, and quality assurance/quality control technical review.
