Paul D. Steinberg. P.E., LSP, Vice President of Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A) has been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM) of the firm. In announcing his promotion, Arthur N. Mabbett, President of M&A, indicated that "Paul has continued to distinguished himself as a most competent Professional Engineer, Licensed Site Professional and leader of the firm. MABBETT & ASSOCIATES, INC. WINS 2ND EBJ ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A), Bedford, Massachusetts, Environmental Consultants & Engineers, was recently presented with a 2007 Business Achievement Award at the Environmental Business Journal's® Environmental Industry Summit in San Diego, California. M&A was awarded the Bronze Medal in the Small Business category for substantially growing that portion of its business derived from work for the Federal-public sector, from less than 2% during the calendar year (CY) ending in December 2005 to approximately 25% for the CY ending in December 2007. M&A also received an EBJ Achievement Award in 2005 for its international growth and expansion in the United Kingdom.

Mabbett & Associates (M&A) achieved this growth via the development and implementation of an aggressive marketing and business development program as a recently certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. In November 2007, M&A also acquired certain assets of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Services Group of MasiMax Resources, Inc. in Reston, Virginia, a deal that established Mabbett & Associates' presence in the Washington, D.C. area. M&A AWARDED MULTI-YEAR INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT (ID/IQ) WITH U.S. EPA REGION 1 FOR RCRA ENFORCEMENT, PERMITTING AND ASSISTANCE (REPA) SERVICES

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A), Bedford, Massachusetts, Environmental Consultants & Engineers recently signed a multi-year contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide technical support services to Region 1 - New England for projects under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) program. Services anticipated under the contract are expected to support the investigation and restoration of environmentally impaired facilities and to include the technical review of: RCRA Facility Assessments, RCRA Facility Investigations, Corrective Measures Studies, Corrective Measure Design and Implementation, and Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessments.

M&A participated in a contract signing with EPA at its Region 1 offices on May 10, 2007 attended by Mr. James T. Owens, Director of EPA's Office of Site Remediation and Restoration; Ms. Cassandra Freemen, EPA's Deputy Director of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization; and Ms. Susan Neiheisel, EPA's Contracting Officer.

Award winning, Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A), Environmental Consultants and Engineers, Bedford, Massachusetts is celebrating 25 years of service to manufacturing and commercial industry, institutions and public agencies.

Arthur N. Mabbett, President and founder of the firm recently stated, "M&A is most pleased to celebrate its 25th silver anniversary. Since 1980 the firm has provided quality and value added services to its clients. The firm has built long-term relationships with such companies as New England Art Publishers, Bodycote Thermal Processing (formerly Lindberg Corporation), General Electric Company, Wyman Gordon, Raytheon Company, Americraft Carton, and BorgWarner. I attribute the firm's continuing success to a most competent staff that provide exceptional service and work hard to both maintain existing and develop new business relationships."

In 1980 the firm opened its first office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Then known as Mabbett, Capaccio & Associates, Inc., the firm quickly established a presence in serving the needs of manufacturing and commercial industries. The electronics, printing and publishing, personal care products, and metal finishing and electroplating industries were its primary clientele. In 1989 the firm moved to its present offices in Bedford.

In his new role Paul will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm's United States operations, strategic planning, and marketing and business development activities. Paul is a 1985 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and is currently completing his master's degree in Marketing and Technological Innovation also from WPI.

M&A ANNOUNCES CREATION OF FEDERAL SERVICES GROUP

Arthur N. Mabbett, President, Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (M&A), Environmental Consultants and Engineers, recently announced the establishment of a new Federal Services Group to serve the environmental, health and safety (EH&S) needs of Federal government agencies. Mr. Mabbett also noted that M&A recently qualified as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) as defined by the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (Public Law 108-183).

M&A is owned and managed by Arthur N. Mabbett, P.E., QEP, CSP, President, who served as a Major, Environmental Sciences Officer in the US Army; 6 years active duty and 14 years in the US Army Reserves.
