Managing Director Serving as Managing Director of Mabbett, Derek is responsible for overseeing the activities of the firm's two groups: Environmental Engineering and Environmental, Health & Safety. Derek is responsible for technical, quality assurance/quality control, marketing and administrative functions of the firms two groups. Additionally, Derek serves as the Senior Environmental Engineer responsible for leading the Environmental Engineering Group. Geraldine has conducted assessments of chemical management, waste management, air emissions control, water effluent and pollution, pollution prevention, contaminated land and environmental health and safety training systems. She has also developed and delivered site-specific environmental management systems training to over 1,400 individuals. Geraldine also regularly provides on-site consulting assistance to manufacturing industry, including regulatory reviews, regulatory agency liaison, evaluation of current practices and designing best management practices for industry. Associate Responsibilities include providing professional input for a wide variety of Environmental Engineering projects, specialising in Energy Conservation Audits and Low Energy Building Design. This role includes providing technical and engineering solutions to design and support services to all divisions within the Mabbett Group and clients and serving as Associate Group Manager for engineering projects. Environmental Scientist - Chemist Susan's role within the Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team covers the full spectrum of contaminated land assessment and remediation services from Phase I through to Phase V projects, Peer Reviews and bespoke site assessment. Susan is also responsible for coordinating Mabbett SAR detailed quantitative risk assessment (DQRA) activities and she is proficient in appropriate risk assessment methodologies for assessing both human health and the water environment, including the use of CLEA UK, RISC, P20 and ConSim. Susan's experience includes the investigation of former landfill sites, gas works, chemical works, manufacturing facilities and former military sites. Dr Borland works with a wide variety of clients from Local Authorities and SMEs to multi-national companies providing support with their environmental regulatory and due diligence requirements. Susan has also a wide variety of experience supporting the PPC permit application, maintenance and surrender stages in Scotland and England through the development of Initial/Application Site Reports, Site Protection and Monitoring Programmes and Permit Surrender Reports. Environmental Scientist Jill is an Environmental Scientist within the Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team and undertakes a range of contaminated land assessment and remediation activities. On a day-to-day basis Jill is responsible for coordinating SAR team field activities. Jill also undertakes site reconnaissance and report writing activities for Phase I site assessments, field work and monitoring activities for Phase II and Phase IV projects, generic quantitative risk assessment for human health and the water environment and detailed quantitative risk assessments for human health and interpretative report writing. Jill also has experience supporting clients with PPC permits in Scotland and England through the development of Initial/Application Site Reports, Site Protection and Monitoring Programmes and Permit Surrender Reports. Jill's experience includes the investigation of numerous chemical and manufacturing sites, a boat yard, a transformer manufacturers and an old bottle works. Jill works with a wide variety of clients from local authorities, banks, private developers and multi-national companies providing support with their environmental regulatory and due diligence requirements.
