Enhanced Capital Allowance Energy Technology List Expanded
The Energy Technology List details the range of energy-saving products and technologies that
can qualify for 100 per cent first year allowances under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme.
As of 5 August 2002 the list of qualifying products and technologies has been expanded from;
- Boilers
- Pipe insulation
- Thermal screens
- Combined heat and power
- Lighting
- Motors
- Variable speed drives
- Refrigeration equipment
to include;
- Heat pumps for space heating
- Warm air heaters
- Radiant heaters
- Solar thermal systems
- Compressed air equipment
- Efficient oil-fired condensing boilers
- Refrigeration cabinets and compressors in the refrigeration category
The Energy Technology List helps companies identify energy-efficient products and technologies
which can qualify for the 100 per cent first year allowance under the ECA scheme as well as save
on long term operating costs.
