ISO 14001 - to be revised by early 2005

Since 1996, the International Standard of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems - Specification and Guidance for Use) and also ISO 14004 (Environmental Management Systems - General Guidelines on Principles, Systems and Supporting Techniques) have been in place. After some 7 years, these are currently under review.

The revised standards have now been published as Draft International Standards (DIS) and are being made available for public comment. If you have been working with the ISO14001 standard in your business, and would like an opportunity to comment on the revisions, this is possible through the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment website, at www.iema.net.
