Does your property require an Energy Performance Certificate?

As of 4th January 2009, Public Buildings over 1,000 m2 and commercial buildings for let in Scotland will have to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

For public buildings, the certificate has to be placed on display in a prominent area of the building, such as at reception.

Certificates can only be produced by members of organisations that have entered into protocol with Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA), such as the Energy Institute (EI).
