About the Potomac Section of the AIHA
The Potomac Section is one of two local sections of the AIHA in the nearby vicinity of the Association's National Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia: the Potomac Section, encompassing the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, includes the nearby Maryland and northern Virginia suburban areas; and the Chesapeake Section, including the Potomac Valley north of the Washington Metropolitan area and eastward to the Susquehanna River and the Eastern Shore, which includes the metropolitan Baltimore area. The sections were one until the the Potomac Section evolved into a separate section in the early 1980s.
