1. ISO 14001 and Responsible Care® Gap Analysis

M&A was retained by a Massachusetts corporation to complete an ISO 14001 and
Responsible Care® Gap Analysis. The client had requested a review of the facility's
Responsible Care® systems, ISO 9001 systems and EH&S compliance, and to assess
development and implementation of the management systems as compared with the
requirements of ISO 14001 and the Responsible Care® Program. M&A provided a summary
report describing opportunities for improvement of existing management systems as well as an
ISO 14001 gap analysis report that included a mock registration grading report, corrective
actions, and an implementation timetable. |
2. Environmental Health and Safety and Metal Fabrication

M&A is acting as the full-time on-site EH&S manager for a metal fabrication
company with approximately 350 employees. M&A provides on-site EH&S management on a
part-time basis to a number of its clients. This involves all aspects of EH&S management
including: inspections and surveys of environmental health and safety hazards, submission of
required reports and permit applications, development of standard operating procedures,
development of an environmental management system to attain ISO 14001 registration, design
of industrial ventilation systems, training of personnel. |
3. Academic Institution

After completing an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Management System
review, M&A worked with College personnel over a nine-month period to assist in the
implementation of the College's Environmental Policy. M&A reviewed procedures for risk
management planning, audit management, emergency response, hazardous materials management,
toxic use reduction, pesticide use, asbestos management, chemical hygiene planning,
laboratory closure, dining services management, septic system management, etc. |
