State and Municipal
State and municipal agencies own and operate a variety of properties utilizing a host of complex industrial and related activities. As a result, these agencies have numerous environmental, health and safety (EH&S) compliance responsibilities related to tank and asbestos management; staff training; fleet operations; hazardous materials and waste handling; and general occupational hygiene and safety. These issues can be overwhelming as public agencies attempt to maintain services during a period of staff reductions and reduced funding.
Mabbett’s EH&S staff has comprehensive experience in compliance management at public and institutional settings. Mabbett understands the public work place and its unique compliance needs. Mabbett’s staff is well versed in the identification and implementation of practical and cost effective solutions to the regulatory challenges facing public entities. Mabbett holds a Massachusetts statewide contract for management consultants, program coordinators and planner services. In addition, for the past seven years Mabbett has supported the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by conducting health and safety training to many state and municipal employees under a state grant program administered by the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. Mabbett has also served the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Government of the District of Columbia by providing EH&S consulting and staff training support.
Mabbett is prepared to support and augment local staff to assist in achieving compliance.
