Insurance Savings for Qualifying Massachusetts Businesses
A pioneering program will be rolled out to Massachusetts businesses over the next few
months resulting in lower insurance costs for qualifying companies. To qualify, the company
must file Form S and certified Toxics Use Reduction Plans pursuant to the Massachusetts
Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA). In return, participating insurance underwriters will
extend lower policy premiums, lower policy deductibles, or extended coverage terms to eligible
companies. So far, Zurich US, ECS/Reliance, AIG Environmental, and Kemper
Environmental have volunteered for the program. For more information,
contact Sue Lanza at the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance (OTA).
OTA plans to implement an outreach program to Form S/TUR Plan filers as a
next step.
