Techno Bits/Technical Bulletins HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND WASTE - CURRENT Emergency Planning & Community Right-To-Know Tier I/II Reports Deadline: March 1, 2003 A Tier I/II Form must be submitted annually to the State Emergency Response Commission, Local Emergency Planning Committee, and Local Fire Department for all hazardous chemicals that exceed the applicable thresholds. Facilities that store at any one time in a calendar year in excess of 500 pounds (lbs.) or the Threshold Planning Quantity (TPQ) of an Extremely Hazardous Substance (e.g., 500 lbs. for ammonia, 100 lbs. for potassium cyanide, chlorine and hydrofluoric acid), whichever is less, or in excess of 10,000 lbs. of all other Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulated hazardous chemicals (e.g., propane and nitrogen) must report.
