Techno Bits/Technical Bulletins HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND WASTE - ARCHIVED On-line Resource for Emergency Responders Operation Respond will soon make its Operation Respond Emergency Information System (OREIS) available through the Internet. First responders can use OREIS to verify the potentially hazardous cargo contents of motor carriers or railroad cars. The Operation Respond website, at www.oreis.org, has more information on current versions of OREIS. OREIS is designed to complement existing services such as CHEMTREC by assisting in the identification of hazardous materials.
