Oil Pollution Prevention And Response Changes

On June 30, 2000, the US EPA issued a final rule changing Facility Response Plan requirements in 40 CFR 112 for non-transportation-related facilities that handle, store, or transport vegetable oils or animal fats. The changes include new definitions for vegetable oils and animal fats, establishes classes of oils, and specific methodologies for planning responses to spills of oils and fats into the environment.
