Mabbett Wins $1.5M Project With the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

Mabbett came out of the gates full speed in January 2021, winning a $1.5M soil remediation project with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction & Facilities Management (OCFM) at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The cemetery is planning a 43-acre expansion project that will provide approximately 35,000 gravesites for our nation’s fallen heroes. A portion of the expansion area was found to be the location of an unauthorized medical waste landfill. Mabbett is responsible for the removal of approximately 5,000 cubic yards of waste material from the site to pave the way for the 43-acre cemetery expansion. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of summer 2021.
