Mabbett & Associates holds the VISN 1 New England Hazardous Waste Removal and Emergency Response Services contract. We support 11 VAMCs and their associated community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) under this contract. Our on-site professional staff provides hazardous, non-hazardous, pharmaceutical, and mixed radioactive/hazardous waste management and disposal, including waste consolidation and lab packing, and compliance inspections of Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs) and Central Accumulation Areas (CAAs). On-site professionals provide consulting services in accordance with local, state, and Federal regulations. Mabbett prepares Biennial Hazardous Waste Reports for Large Quantity Generator (LQG) facilities, identifies waste minimization opportunities, and develops and delivers on-site training classes to help the VA meet its obligations under EPA, OSHA, DOT, and other standards. Also provided is our wastewater operator support, neutralization tank clean-outs, lab decontaminations, soil remediation services, etc. under this contract.
